I say illegal only because there was a barbed wire fence that we had to crawl underneath. The fence was already lifted up, almost as if it was inviting us inside. Looked good to me.
We had visited these particular petroglyphs a couple years prior, but we weren't sure whether or not we would be able to find them again. But we did, and they were incredible.

We found our slot canyon that had pretty indian pictures and explored/climbed all over the canyon. We then ventured into the desert even further to see if we could find anything else worth looking at. We stumbled upon a second canyon that was fantastic; a canyon that we hadn't visited before. We found some more petroglyphs that were as cool or cooler than the ones in the first slot canyon. It was quite an expedition to get our group of about 15 people up and over two fairly large boulders, but it was well worth it.
I am sure glad that the Native Americans were kind enough to provide all of us some pretty artwork. I am constantly amazed whenever I run my hands over the petroglyphs that such beautiful artifacts are available for all to see uninhibited. Tomorrow we head home to Orem to face real life, but boy, St. George has been a blast!
