I know what you're thinking. There has been a lot of rock climbing posts in the past couple of weeks. But believe me, variety is on its merry way. I got to climb up Rock Canyon with one of my friends, Sam. He is a Chinese exchange student, although he is quick to tell you he's not Chinese but rather from Hong Kong. My family has been really close with him since he moved into our neighbor's house in the summer of 2013. He is a blast to climb with and be around. He's always making fun of his broken English. What a kid.
I think that this is one of only 2 pictures on this blog that you can really see me in. There I am. Shirtless and all. Notice the tan-line on my neck? Yeah, hence the shirtless part. I've been trying to shake that tan-line for about a week. A couple more shirtless climbing endeavors and my mission will be accomplished!
Spring has sprung! This was quite a pleasant surprise to run into on an approach to a slab. When we turned the corner and saw the beautiful tunnel of trees, Sam and I both gasped and pulled out our phones to take a picture. There's incredible beauty everywhere, you just have to venture outside and find it.
Tomorrow I have the opportunity to slough first period to go listen to an engineer talk about hydro power. That doesn't sound to exciting, but it sure beats presenting a menu in Spanish class! I heard that she buys old appliances from a thrift store and lets us take them apart on the benches in the wood shop. I'm looking forward to it!
